Already in 2007, Prendocasa Immobiliare S.r.l. has been the protagonist in one of England’s most famous of Reality Shows "A Place in the Sun" presented by Jonnie Irwin and Jasmine Harman and broadcast on Channel 4.

In 2008 again, we have participated, with new properties to offer and new needs of potential buyers that we had to satisfy!

Neil and Natalie Sweeney are thinking about whether to sell their apartment in order to buy a bigger house in Berkshire, England, or to continue to life in their apartment and to make an investment  in the purchase of a second home in Calabria, Southern Italy.

Berkshire is a region in the south-east of England, well known for its attractions that fascinate every year thousands of tourists from all over the world. Thanks to these characteristics and its proximity to London, buying a property in Berkshire could be a race against time because houses in this region are of great demand.Natalie wants to buy a new home in Berkshire because she is of the opinion, that it is the appropriate environment to raise their little son. Neil instead is thinking of investing in a second home in Calabria, so that they can enjoy wonderful holidays each year. The Sweeney family would like to buy a house, not necessarily newly built, but which has a small garden, at least two bedrooms and private parking.

Neil and Natalie visit some houses around the city of Windsor that may be suitable for them.The first house costs £ 275,000, has two bedrooms, but offers the possibility to extend the loft and make it habitable to create more space, a small living area and a small garden.

The second one is much more spacious and offers three bedrooms, private garden and a large parking lot in front of the house. The cost is £ 335,000.The third property which costs £ 335.000, is renovated and composed of a small kitchen, living room and two bedrooms.

Neil and Natalie go to Italy to visit other properties and to decide whether it is more convenient to buy a new house in Berkshire or a holiday home in Calabria.They have a budget of £ 125.000 to purchase a second home. In their opinion it might be a good investment, especially because of the high possibility of lettings.

The “Costa degli Dei” is one of the most beautiful coasts of southern Italy. It is known for its white beaches, the crystal clear sea and the unspoiled nature. That’s why it is one of the most popular destinations chosen every year by thousands of Italians and foreign tourists who decide to spend a wonderful holidays with sun, sea and fun.In this beautiful region they visit some properties.

The first apartment is situated five minutes from the old town of Pizzo, a fishing village overlooking the sea, which is 25 minutes from the international airport of Lamezia Terme. This apartment is composed of a living room with kitchenette and access to a large terrace, two bedrooms and a small bathroom, and is located just 200m from the beach. The cost is £ 80.500.

The second apartment situated at Briatico, in a building recently constructed by BETA COSTRUZIONI of Raffaele Riga, is only 100m from the sea, and composed of a bright living room with kitchenette, three bedrooms, one with balcony, two bathrooms and a large terrace with stunning sea views.

The apartment also offers a nice communal garden and private parking and costs £ 126.000.The third apartment is on the market for £ 119.000 and is located in a residence next to the village of Parghelia. It has kitchen, living room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a splendid terrace overlooking the sea. It also benefits from a residential pool and private beach.

At the end, Neil and Natalie decide to wait and think twice before buying another house. But despite their choice not to purchase a new property, they were fascinated by the Calabrian coast, which would undoubtedly be the ideal place for an investment.
